Executive Director of World Apostolate of Fatima Blue Army Shrine To Be Interviewed Live
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WATERTOWN, MA (October 17, 2011) – Executive Director of World Apostolate of Fatima Blue Army Shrine To Be Interviewed on Live Talk Show of the CatholicTV® Network.
On October 18, 2011, Michael LaCorte, executive director of World Apostolate of Fatima USA, will be featured on the CatholicTV Network’s nationally broadcasted live talk show, This is the Day.
October 13, 2011 marked the 94th anniversary of the final appearance of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima, Portugal. At a time of great trials, the apparitions at Fatima brought increased devotion to Our Lady of the Rosary, and so it is particularly appropriate that the final apparition occurred in the month of October, which Pope Leo XIII had devoted to the rosary 33 years earlier.
The National Blue Army Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a Catholic Shrine dedicated to the message of Fatima. The Shrine is located on 150 acres and rises over the Muscontecong Valley as an architectural embodiment of the faith and devotion of pilgrims to Our Lady and hosts more than 50,000 pilgrims annually. It is owned and operated by The Blue Army, USA, a worldwide movement of millions of faithful responding to the requests Our Blessed Mother made to three shepherd children at Fatima, Portugal in 1917.
Fr. Andrew Apostoli, C.F.R., spiritual advisor for The World Apostolate of Fatima, USA and author of the highly acclaimed new book Fatima for Today, hosts an original three-part mini-series called "Fatima for Today: the Urgent Marian Message" on the CatholicTV Network. He carefully analyzes the events that took place in Fatima and clears up lingering questions and doubts about the meaning of the Marian message.
You can watch the original series at www.CatholicTV.com.
Also appearing on the October 18, 2011, episode of This is the Day, will be Father Dan Hennessey and Loretta Gallagher of Adopt-a-Priest Apostolate. Through the Serra Club of Boston, the goal of the Adopt-a-Priest Apostolate is to have each bishop and diocesan priest covered daily in prayer on an ongoing basis by an assigned layperson of the archdiocese. Families and prayer communities may also spiritually adopt a priest as a group.
