Don't just stand there, DO SOMETHING! Viral sexual assault PSA shocks viewers by asking #WhoWillYouHelp

The video makes connections to the perpetrator and the bystander.

A new campaign, in Ontario, directly asks people who they will help: the perpetrators or the victims. The video shows the way bystanders are being "accomplices" and also guilty of the sexual assault when they opt out from doing something and keep their silence. #WhoWillYouHelp says that "When you do nothing, you're helping him. But when you do something, you help her."

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - The PSA video pictures situations when a bystander might not do something to help.

It starts off with the perpetrators "thanking" the bystanders for "allowing" them to assault the women, showed in various instances that we could witness in our everyday lives.

Whether it's keeping our mouths shut and not telling anyone who could intervene and help stop the crime, or minding our own businesses and just looking away, offenders were able to assault leaving their victims feeling helpless.

After the campaign's tagged statement, it shows the women "thanking" the bystanders for intervening and doing something.

Make the world a better place this Lent -- Give something today!

Bystanders could also be endangering themselves if they chose to help stop the assault, and this is recognized by the campaign. But using their power to speak up and help would keep these crimes from happening.

#WhoWillYouHelp is part of Ontario's 'It's Never OK' campaign against sexual violence and harassment which was launched March 6, 2015. The campaign counters rape culture and its repercussions by seeking the power of the general public in recognizing when an assault is about to happen and intervening to stop it from happening.
