Stop worrying, God's Running Everything!
FREE Catholic Classes
Imagine for a moment if God wasn't running the universe and it was up to us to take care of ourselves for today. First, we would have to maintain all our body functions because they wouldn't be automatic anymore. We would have to think keep beating to our hearts and breath to our lungs. Perhaps even our brains wouldn't function either without us running those electrical impulses from one neuron to the next. Our endocrine systems wouldn't produce the necessary cortisol to awaken us and get us going in the morning without a reminder. What about our immune systems fighting the allergens and the bacteria that lives all around us. We would be very, very busy and we haven't even gotten out of bed yet!

LOS ANGELES, CA - God takes care of so many things at so many levels leaving us free to pursue our hopes and dreams. This universe is such an amazing place. From the subatomic level up to the cosmic activity in space, everything is taken care of with such amazing grace and beauty.
Life in a single cell, begun by a simple act of fertilization grows into an amazing baby that continues to develop into a person. An individual capable of so much good and wonder.
Light a virtual prayer candle today
How does God do all of this and still remember to keep the tides of the oceans moving and He keeps the planet revolving around the sun which He keeps burning to give us light and heat. All of this and He still loves us and answers our prayers.
We live in an amazing world at an amazing time. We are so fortunate each day as we arise and are welcomed by another wonder, sun, rain, or snow. The sun to warm us, the rain to quench our thirst, the snow, each individual crystal unique, cools us and lets nature sleep.
How silly am I when I worry about my clothes, my hair, what will I have for breakfast. All worries about myself when I only need to look out the window and observe what God has already done today while I worried about which shoes match my skirt. Perhaps, today, I will try to worry less and realize, God has everything under control. I think I'll let God handle things today while I worry less and marvel more about all His wonders.
